these were pretty old images from a few years back but they had a nice squareness to it. So I took these old drawings that were pretty much clean illustrator images and revisited them in photoshop to make them a bit more interesting.

This little character, when you catch it. You hold onto it make a wish, unzip him and pull your wish out.
-Mmmm..., i would like an iPhone, unzip him and BAM!!! instant iPhone.
Might make these into prints more on that later. I've done 3 versions but still unsure which ones I will do as prints. Feel free to comment on which you would make a nice print.

Had a little bit of Dr. Martin watercolor paints left over from a project I was working on and instead of putting the leftover back into the bottles (which could be messy) or dumping it I used it up on this quickie illustration

Here's a portrait of my wifes mother (in her younger days) this illutration was don using only Adobe Illustrator. I mainly did this to get some Illustrator practice in. Got to keep those skill sets sharp.

here's the inked page of Ultraman vs Godzilla with all the changes done. Now I just need to color this bad boy

This is a work in progress. here are the final pencils. Next I'll be inking then coloring it.
A few things I'll probably tighten up before I go to inking. Godzlla's face needs a bit of tweaking. the girl I need to resize her torso a bit to fit better with her legs and maybe resize her entire body afterwards to make her a bit bigger. She just seems a bit too small. Those are just minor things.:)

Mona Lisa Robot

here's one or a series of birthday cards using monsters, robots and balloons. I originally intended it just as a mona lisa robot paraody without the ballon but it wasn't looking like a birthday card so I added the balloon. what do you all think.

I've been working on a t-shirt design for my kids school for a 5k run then a Bender illustration just for kicks. Wish I could have more time to do more just for kicks illustrations. Like the Rolling Stones say "you can't always get what you want"

John Carter Of Mars

here's the final colored version of my John Carter of Mars. I t came out alright though I still have issues with the face but over all it came out decent enough. Still trying to improve on my digital colors

Here's a finished drawing for John Carter of Mars. I plan on adding some digital colors and improve on some of the weaker points in photoshop. In the meantime here are the unretouched pencils.

Character designs for a children's book

I'm working on some design ideas for a children's book. I'm just trying out some different drawing styles and coloring styles. Any comments and which you prefer would be helpfull narrowing down what drawing and coloring style to proceed with.

John Carter of Mars

Working an an illustration of an Edgar Rice Burroughs character not the popularly known Tarzan but of his sci-fi counter part John Carter of mars. Here's a quick sketch of John just a character study to get a feel for what the character will look like.

here's something i did really quick from this website http://roxik.com/pictaps/. it was kinda of fun just we can't choose or change the animation but my daughter would love to play with this. enjoy till the repetition wears you down an you snap.
